  5. Bub and Bob the heroes from Bubble Bobble are back! This time negotiating the
  6. hazards of the Rainbow Islands.
  7. Myriad creatures conspire to impede your progress at every fun-filled level
  8. until you face the "Guardian", the ultimate test of advancement...Good Luck.

  10. The seven "Rainbow Islands" and their inhabitants.

  12. * Insect Island - caterpillars, spiders, crows
  13. * Combat Island - tanks, planes, helicopters
  14. * Monster Land - bats, werewolves, ghosts
  15. * Toy Island - water-pistols, deadly disks, teddy bears
  16. * Doh's Island - balls, spheres, capsules
  17. * Robot Island - spanners, robots, bolts
  18. * Dragon Island - cyclops, dragons, spirits
  19.  
  20. KEYBOARD CONTROLS
  21. Enter credits during the title screen by pressing jump in your chosen control
  22. mode or by pressing the space bar.

  24. After entering credits:

  26. F1          Start one player game
  27. F2          Start two player game
  28. F3          Select control mode for player one
  29. F4          Select control mode for player two
  30. HELP        Pause game(press fire to unpause)
  31. ESC         Quit the game(use only when game is paused)
  32. LEFT      = Q.W.A.S.Z.X.U.I.J.K.M or < keys
  33. RIGHT     = E.R.D.F.C.V.O.P.L or > keys
  34. JUMP      = SPACE BAR, ?, or LEFT SHIFT KEY
  35. FIRE      = RIGHT SHIFT OR ALT KEYS

  38. Push UP to increase credits during title screen
  39. Press FIRE button to start one player game during title screen
  40. Press FIRE button to throw Rainbows during game
  41. Press LEFT and RIGHT to move left and right during game
  42. Push UP to jump during game

  44. MOUSE CONTROLS (During Game)
  45. Move mouse left or right to walk left/right
  46. Left mouse button to jump
  47. Right mouse button to throw Rainbows

  49. GAMEPLAY

  51. BASIC MOVEMENT

  53. Rainbow Climbing  :- Make Rainbows on each level of the floor and walk up them.
  54.                      It is possible to stand on the top of a Rainbow.
  55.  
  56. Rainbow Attack    :- Hit you enemies with a new Rainbow to kill them.
  57.  
  58. Rainbow Breaking  :- By jumping onto a Rainbow, you can break it.  This causes
  59.                      the Rainbow to drop down the screen, killing anything
  60.                      in its path.
  61.  
  62. PICKING UP OBJECTS
  63. You can pick up objects by either walking into them or by hitting them with a
  64. Rainbow.  Also, running a Rainbow to drop down the screen, killing anything
  65. in its path.
  66.  
  67. THREE IMPORTANT PICKUPS
  68.  
  69. Magic Shoes       :- Picking up the magic shoes will give you greater speed.
  70.  
  71. Red Potions       :- Collecting a red potion will add one to the number of
  72.                      Rainbows that you can throw, up to a maximum of three.
  73.  
  74. Yellow Potions    :- Collecting a yellow potion will speed up your Rainbow
  75.                      throws.

  77. HINTS AND TIPS

  79. 1. There is a secret room on each island, how to access it is confidential!

  81. 2. Master the use of Rainbows.

  83. 3. When the `Hurry' message appears, get to the top of the screen as quickly
  84.    as possible.
